The video by father Luis Vazquez shows him and his wife taking their young son, who has autism, to see his favourite band in concert.
He posted it with the words: “Something my wife and I decided to share with the whole wide world,” wrote Vázquez on his personal account. “You have to watch it! It says it all! You guys #coldplay please need to see this!”
It has been shared thousands of times on Facebook and Twitter and has over 1.7 million views on Youtube.
The clip did indeed reach Coldplay, who shared it on their official page with the words: “This kind of thing makes it all worthwhile. Hola Luis y tu hijo hermoso! Love”
The moving images show the young boys mix of emotions at witnessing one of his favourite songs “Fix You” being played live by the British band.
The young boy moves his shoulders and dances, but is also so caught up with emotion that he cannot help but cry and puts his head in his hands.
His father seeing his reaction also becomes emotional and presses his sons head to his as he sings the words to him.
The images have touched social media users everywhere, many who say they have autism themselves and thanked the father for sharing the special moment.
One user wrote: “I have to say this what I always say to myself and other people that have autism, you are not Autism, you are still you’re self. Look on the bright side. I can do many things with my handicap.”
Whilst another commented: “I have Autism myself I was diagnosed at age 7 and I am also a mega Coldplay fan, this made me tear up, thank you so much for sharing this video.”
