New Jersey Wedding Entertainment at The Ryland Inn: How Amber Uplighting Transformed the Coach House

Ariana and Anthony got married on May 21, 2026 at The Ryland Inn, and the room their guests walked into for the reception was not the room they had been standing in an hour before. That is the part of New Jersey wedding entertainment nobody thinks about until they watch it happen. We washed the entire Coach House in amber, and when those doors opened the space stopped reading like a white ballroom. It read warm.

The Ryland Inn Coach House, and what the amber uplighting did to it

The Ryland Inn sits in Whitehouse Station, out in Hunterdon County, and it is one of those properties that hands you a lot before you plug anything in. Ariana and Anthony took their ceremony outside with a 5:45 prelude and a contingency to move indoors if the weather turned on them. It held. Anthony Ponzo officiated.

Then everybody moved into the Coach House. Their colors were blush, champagne, green and rose pink, and amber is the one color that sits underneath all of that without fighting any of it. Basically, uplighting is the least expensive way to change a room and the easiest thing to get wrong. Go blue and the whole space reads cold. Go heavy purple and half the photos come back with a tint nobody asked for. Amber goes the other way. It warms the walls, it picks up the wood and the linens, and it makes people look good in every picture their photographer takes after sunset.

We ran full room uplighting here, not four cans in the corners, and that is the reason it actually landed. Couples ask me all the time which single enhancement changes the most for the money. Hands down, it is this one.

The four songs that carried the night

Every wedding has four moments the room actually remembers. Here is how Ariana and Anthony scored theirs.

The grand entrance song: “Addicted to You” by Avicii. The whole wedding party came in at once off “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees mixed into “In Da Club,” which is a great setup because the party warms the room and then the Avicii drop belongs to nobody but the two of them. Jared announced them as Mr. & Mrs. Anthony and Ariana Teixeira and the amber walls did the rest.

The first dance: “A Sunday Kind of Love” by Etta James. Their note on the planner said “wait for the look,” and that is the right way to do it. You do not cut a first dance on a stopwatch. You cut it when the couple looks up and tells you they are ready, and Manny watched for it.

The father-daughter dance: “Your Joy” by Chrisette Michele. Ariana danced with her dad, Louie Sarno, and they left the same note on this one. Wait for the look. Louie also spoke later in the night, so this was not the only moment he had the room.

The mother-son dance: “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack. Anthony with his mom, Lisa. It is a song a lot of people know and almost nobody gets through dry, and in a room lit in amber instead of white it looked like the photograph before anyone took the photograph.

They skipped the bouquet toss and the garter, which more couples are doing now, and cut the cake to “You Sexy Thing” by Hot Chocolate.

What Ariana and Anthony booked

None of that is a list for the sake of a list. The violinist and the ceremony system covered the outdoor ceremony and the cocktail hour, the concert sound and the intelligent lights carried the dance floor, and the monogram, the flower wall and the uplighting are what made the Coach House look like Ariana and Anthony’s room instead of a room they rented. The mic, the strings, and everything in between

The prelude started at 5:45 with a violinist playing covers, and they picked good ones. Arctic Monkeys, Bruno Mars, Lana Del Rey, Elvis. Ariana walked down the aisle to “I’m With You” by Avril Lavigne on violin, and they walked back out married to “Boogie Shoes” by KC and the Sunshine Band, which tells you exactly what kind of night they were planning.

Cocktail hour ran 7:00 to 8:00 with a Sinatra and Bublé feel mixed with loungey beats, then Jared brought the room in. Eric gave the best man speech, Gabriella gave the maid of honor speech, and Louie spoke as well. Running toasts, keeping the kitchen on schedule and reading when a room is ready to move is the part couples never see on the timeline.
