Photo Booth Rentals in NJ and NY: Which Booth Is Right for Your Event?
We’ve been putting photo booths in ballrooms across New Jersey and New York for a long time now, and the question I get most isn’t “should we do a booth.” It’s “which one.” Because a photo booth rental in NJ isn’t one thing anymore. We run four very different experiences, and the right pick depends on the room, the crowd, and what you want people walking away with. Some clients want a print in a scrapbook. Some want a video their guests post before the cake gets cut. Here’s the honest breakdown of all four, and which events each one is actually built for.
One thing that’s true across every booth we run: each one builds an online gallery with all the captures from the night, so your guests can download their own photos and videos and post them wherever they want. Nobody’s waiting on you to email them anything.
The Glam Photo Booth: prints people actually keep
The Glam booth is our flagship, and it’s the one that gets the most double-takes. It shoots on a DSLR camera with studio flash, not a webcam, and that’s most of why the images look the way they do. Our software then smooths skin and structures the face, and finishes in a high-contrast black and white. Guests call it the Kardashian look. Basically it makes everybody look like they just stepped out of a magazine shoot, and they know it the second the print slides out.
Black and white is what the booth is known for, but it does color too. Plenty of clients run both, or go color for a corporate event where the branding needs to read.
You get unlimited 2x6 prints, an attendant, props, a scrapbook, a zip file of every image, and the real-time online gallery. Guests can text, email or AirDrop their photos before they sit back down. Prints upgrade to 4x6 for $150 if you want the bigger keepsake.
Best for: weddings, galas, milestone birthdays and upscale corporate events and brand activations. Anywhere the crowd is dressed up and the photos need to look like it. If your guest list skews older or you want a scrapbook people sign, the Glam booth is hands down the pick.
The Salsa Glam LED Booth: the one that does everything
The Salsa booth is our hybrid. It’s built around an LED ring light, and it does the classic stuff and the digital stuff equally well. Photos, GIFs, boomerangs, instant sharing by AirDrop, text or email, and classic 2x6 or 4x6 prints with your own custom graphic design on them. Every hi-res image and video is downloadable the same night, not a week later.
Two things make it the workhorse. The wrap on the booth is fully customizable, so it can carry a monogram for a wedding or a full brand skin for a corporate event. And there’s a virtual option, so guests who couldn’t make it can still send in a selfie and land in the same gallery. For corporate clients we build a gallery tailored to the brand and hand back post-event analytics on it.
Best for: weddings, sweet 16s, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate soirees, holiday parties and company picnics. If you want one booth that covers prints and shareable digital without picking a lane, this is it. There’s also a digital-only version without prints or an attendant when space or budget is tight.
The 360 Booth: spin, slow motion, straight to their phone
The 360 booth is the one people line up for. Guests step onto a bright LED platform, a camera arm spins around them on a belt-driven motor, and it captures high-res slow motion video. No one pushing the arm by hand, and it pauses automatically if somebody steps on late, so it stays safe when the floor gets busy.
From there it’s over 300 custom video effects, animations and filters, fully branded overlays with your event name or logo, an iPad Pro kiosk for instant sharing, and everything saved to the online gallery. The clips are short, loud and made to be posted.
Best for: weddings with a younger crowd, sweet 16s, proms, mitzvahs, brand activations, outdoor festivals and holiday parties. One thing to plan for: the 360 needs floor space and ceiling height. If your venue has a low ceiling or a tight corner, tell us early and we’ll find the right room for it.

The Glambot: a red carpet moment for every guest
The Glambot is a different animal. It’s a cinematic robotic arm, the same technology used at celebrity events, and it sweeps around a guest on a real red carpet while shooting high-speed footage that becomes dramatic slow motion. It comes with a 4’ x 12’ red carpet, professional LED lighting, and an on-site director who actually poses people so the shot lands.
The video is back in their hands in about 60 seconds with slow motion, speed ramps, freeze frames and color washes already applied, sized for Instagram, TikTok or Facebook, and watermarked with your logo if you want it. Setup, takedown, the online gallery and hosting are all included.
Best for: luxury weddings, galas and fundraisers, corporate brand activations, sweet 16s, mitzvahs and proms. Anywhere the goal is content that gets shared, or a guest experience people talk about for a year. It’s our premium option, and it’s the one to pick when you want the night to feel like an event, not a party with a camera in the corner.
What actually makes a photo booth good
Everybody sells the same feature list. After all these years I’ll tell you the two things that decide whether the photos come out great or come out like everybody else’s, and neither one is on a spec sheet.
The first is lighting. That’s it. That’s the whole difference between an image somebody frames and an image somebody deletes. Studio flash on the Glam booth, the LED ring on the Salsa, the platform lighting on the 360, the LED package on the Glambot. We don’t cut corners there because there’s nothing to fix afterward if you get it wrong.
The second is the attendant. A friendly attendant who pulls people in, hands them a prop, gets them laughing and keeps the line moving is worth more than any feature we could add to the booth. A booth standing in a corner with nobody running it is furniture. Our attendants work the room, and that’s why our booths have a line at them all night.
How to pick the right photo booth for your event
Start with what you want guests to leave with. If the answer is a printed keepsake and a signed scrapbook, that’s the Glam booth. If it’s prints plus posts, it’s the Salsa. If it’s video, it’s the 360 or the Glambot, and the difference between those two is scale. The 360 moves a crowd fast and keeps a line entertained. How much does a photo booth rental cost in NJ?

What’s the difference between a 360 booth and a Glambot?
Both shoot slow motion video, but the 360 spins a camera around guests on a platform and moves a line quickly, while the Glambot uses a robotic arm, a red carpet and a director for one cinematic shot per guest. The 360 is the crowd-pleaser. The Glambot is the showpiece.
Do guests get their photos after the event?
Yes. Every booth we run creates an online gallery with all the captures from the night, so guests download their own photos and videos and share them straight to social. You get the full set too.
Does the Glam photo booth do color, or only black and white?
Both. The black and white is what it’s known for, but the booth shoots color just as well, and a lot of clients run both in the same night.
Which photo booth is best for a wedding?
Most of our couples go Glam or Salsa, because prints and a scrapbook are something you keep. If your crowd is younger and social, add the 360 or go Glambot for the wow factor. Plenty of weddings run two.
