How to Choose the Perfect Wedding DJ

Selecting the right DJ can make or break your wedding celebration. Here's how to find the perfect match for your big day.

Research and Reviews:

Start by reading reviews and asking for recommendations from friends and family. A DJ's reputation is a great indicator of their reliability and talent. Nowadays, Facebook groups are super powerful. If you are considering a company, just ask the Facebook groups and you'll have your answer!! We love these groups because it really separates the true professionals in the industry and our hard work and effort really shines through the rave reviews from personal experiences of other couples.

Experience and Style:

Consider the DJ's experience and style. Are they familiar with your preferred music genres? Do they have experience with weddings similar to yours? They should definitely have DJ mixes up somewhere. Check out Mystical Entertainment Group's podcast on Apple.

Meet and Greet:

Schedule a meeting to discuss your vision and see if their personality aligns with yours. A great DJ should be personable and attentive to your needs. Ask to see live videos (uncut from music) from their weddings so you can visualize what it's like with a packed dance floor at your venue.

Equipment and Setup:

Inquire about their equipment and setup. Ensure they have backup resources to handle any technical issues that might arise.

Luckily at Mystical Entertainment Group, we have the capacity to completely overhaul our sound systems, EVERY YEAR!! Yes that's right we buy new every January and sell off all the sound equipment used in the previous year. Might be overkill but hey, we'd rather be safe than sorry.

Contract and Pricing:

Review the contract carefully, understanding what's included in the package. Transparent pricing and clear terms are essential.

With these tips in mind, you're well on your way to finding a wedding DJ who will make your wedding day unforgettable.
